Le Mont-Saint-Michel
Mont-Saint-Michel also called “The Miracle of the West” (Merveille de l’Occident) is located in Normandy, 283 km west of Paris and is a particularly imposing monument.
It is an island just a short distance from the coast, which houses the famous abbey of Mont Saint Michel, with the gold-plated statue of Archangel Michael at the top of the bell tower.
The abbey of Mont Saint Michel is considered a world cultural heritage from UNESCO and counting what more than 2.5 million visitors each year.
On the picturesque island, apart from the abbey, you will also find hotels, restaurants, creperies and tourists and souvenir shops.
